Work Here

Nestled next to the Oregon border is the quiet and quaint community of McDermitt, Nevada, with a population of approximately 350. The majority of the students come from ranching families or from the Fort McDermitt Paiute-Shoshone Tribal Reservation. The community offers many outdoor opportunities with fishing, hunting, hiking and rock exploration being big draws for the area. Rock hounds flock to the area for the many gems and minerals that are available to dig. The school serves students in Kindergarten through 12th grade and at this point is a Title I, Focus, and Victory School because of past evaluative criteria.

At the conclusion of this year, however, we are in need of a Guidance Counselor, High School English Teacher, First Grade Teacher, and Instructional Assistant. Our hope is to attract energetic, passionate and motivated individuals to fill these voids. We only want the BEST with a belief system that all students can learn.
